Meet Sabra, a dynamic and experienced professional with over 15 years of dedicated service in school settings. Sabra’s journey includes working as a social worker in both DC Public Schools (DCPS) and Charter Schools in Washington, D.C.
Her passion for education led her to spend three impactful years teaching 4th grade at Miner Elementary School. Sabra holds a Master’s in Social Work from Catholic University and a Master’s in Education from American University, a testament to her commitment to holistic education.
Sabra’s dedication extends beyond traditional roles; she currently provides social work services as a contract social worker. Her approach is characterized by a strong commitment to students, staff, and parents in the school setting.
With a keen interest in therapeutic interventions, Sabra specializes in using sandtray and play therapy to empower students socially and academically. Her expertise goes beyond direct service; Sabra finds joy in consulting, supervising, and training mental health clinicians in the art of play therapy and sandtray therapy.
