I have experience in individual and family therapy with African American and Hispanic families and facilitating social and life skills groups for children and adolescents in foster care teaching coping skills, peer conflict resolution, and expressing self. Tiffany L. Casey, LICSW
Tiffany L. Casey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a Masters in Social Work from Howard University. Over the past 7 years, Tiffany has been providing clinical services in MD, SC, and DC; growing with experiences in residential and foster care settings as well as public and private school settings. Tiffany currently works with a public school in Washington, D.C. where she provides behavior support services, individual and group counseling with emphases on grief and loss, child centered play therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Tiffany’s growth work with clients blends play-based approach, strengths based and client centered therapy while incorporating elements of trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). Tiffany is continuously seeking to gain more skills and broaden her education to best fit the needs of her client. For instance, Tiffany is working on credentialing with the Association for Play Therapy (APT) to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). Tiffany has expertise in several areas with emphases on behavioral and mood disorders, relational and social stress, overcoming grief and loss, social skills, and self empowerment. Tiffany works best with children ages 4-18.
